His work has won or been nominated for Oscars, Emmys, Golden Globes, and the Directors Guild of America Awards, as well as the WGA Awards, Cannes Film Festival, Peabody, Humanitas, Tonys, Drama Desk Awards, Television Critics Awards and Cable ACE Awards.
