My producing credits span from development to pre-production, production, and post-production.
As the Senior Producer & Editor for Hulu’s Creative Studio on a Jr Creative Director track, I was tasked with managing multiple teams of editors, copywriters, and graphic artists developing, producing, and editing numerous campaigns, promos, and trailers for titles across Hulu’s library of original, acquired, and in-house content. Working with external partners, I specifically tasked to work with the filmmakers of Wounds to produce the trailer for the feature film acquired by Hulu.
A particular career highlight, having both grown up on Disney films and the first computer in my childhood home being an Apple IIGS, I had the full-circle privilege of building the presentation and campaign for the first network VOD apps for Disney Channel, Disney XD, and Disney Jr that was presented to Bob Iger, Steve Jobs, and the board of the Walt Disney Company.
As co-producer and editor for Out Of The Box (now Visible: Out On Television on Apple TV+) my responsibilities spanned structuring and writing the series six-episode structure, building and pitching a distribution strategy for Amazon Studios – and how the series could interact with Amazon Prime Video’s digital and distribution infrastructure, identifying and strategising funding partners, as well as producing and contributing in conducting interviews with over 40 stars of television and film including Aidan Quinn, Billie Jean King, Laverne Cox, Neil Patrick Harris, Rachel Maddow, Rob Reiner, Sean Hayes, and Sigourney Weaver. For the production I also produced a a multi-faceted shoot that included a round-table reunion and interview with the full cast of Queer As Folk (US), concluding filming, the event and space was then transformed into a fundraiser hosted by the cast, benefiting the victims of the Pulse Nightclub shooting.
In the summer of 2020 in the midst of the global COVID pandemic, working with K-LAB Digital I conceived, developed, and pitched a variety of properties to Freeform Digital. With two titles being green lit by the network, then developed a COVID-safe production workflow and post-production pipeline to produce the entirely remote series How We Got Here and History Served for Freeform.
During the 2016 Presidential race I was tapped to conceive and build a digital media strategy for the Hillary Clinton Presidential Campaign. Six weeks out from the election, and presented to the campaign chair John Podesta, I provided a bottom-up social and digital proposal.
I have worked alongside a number of networks, production companies, brands, social channels, digital platforms, and apps strategising distribution, interactivity, gamification, and creative direction for a number projects to shape and share stories and harness opportunities. Identifying, distilling, and distributing through a narrative focus to utilise story and my fluency with it to entertain, advertise, and inform.
At the height of the Black Lives Matters protests, I joined Support Black Creatives Initiative, matched with young black filmmakers to mentor and support their projects and careers. I have been proud to also be invited to speak with both California Baptist University and The University of Texas’ film departments about the industry and my career.
